I am so glad finally I am done doing my Christmas blog (January na 'neng).
This year 2007 we'll be celebrating our Christmas quite differently. First, because we'll be away from home, in a country that does not celebrate Christmas to the fullest. I would hope that we'll have other options (I meant of the place) to spend Christmas next time. As you can see, this is my favorite holiday when all my senses are up to beat, I like to make lists, buy gifts, decorate our home, family gatherings, "Simbang Gabi", the Christmas jingles, bibingka, puto bumbong, ube halaya (this one I craved for the most) etc. etc. BUT, since this is our first time in Malaysia for the holidays, it turned out to be a tiring but special one.
We joined our Ipoh friends in going to Bukit Tinggi last Dec 23'07. It turned out to be a ~4.5 hrs drive, well we got lost along the way. Never fret coz today is Maqs' 2nd birthday - my family is happy and hopeful that we get there soon. ...ho ho ho.
This is the people who greeted us at Colmar Tropicale, this is a French-themed resort. These guys turned out to be Pinoys (well not a surprise, Filipinos are very much into the love of music), they sang "Ang Pasko Ay Sumapit", which brought about the Pinoy Christmas spirit that moment and a "Happy Birthday" song for my now-2-year-old Maqs and friend Beth.
Japanese Village: This is one of the places to go to while staying at Colmar. This place can be reached by car, but quite challenging as you get nearer the place as the slopes become very steep. Your car will need a lot of momentum, power, anti-skid tires and "prayer". Else, it'd be pretty scary running on reverse down the steep slope. Errr, forget it! We'll just take the provided shuttle service to and from the place.
Mommies and kids at the entrance. These are our new "ka-berks" here in Ipoh, all fun to be with.
We stopped by a Japanese hut which offers a chance to wear Kimono for only RM 20. I wouldn't want to pass the chance for Nicole. Here is my little girl after dressing up - can't help to put a smile on my face.

We're in France..... Believe it!

My kids with their good girl friend, Neneng. Simply adorable!
I don't know but this spot makes me feel like we're on a scene in Harry Potter on the train station, with the big clock. Will I make it through the wall?
I like the ambiance here, as if we're on a different country..wish ko lang!
The night of Dec 23'07 when all beautiful women of the house flocked together and had great acquaintance and chizmucks. Sayang tulog si Mabelski.

Aaaahhh, my feet is tired and so are the kids, obvious ba? This is the entrance to Petronas Tower.
Lighting up the twin towers, it's like watching a grand show
Manny and I have been eyeing for the tower behind me. It turned out we both wanted a shot. It looks like the Space Needle in Seattle, WA.
My Dream shot now a reality, the Petronas towers at night with ME
Nicole and Neneng dear with the Twin Tower!
Ti's Christmas Eve, on our hotel room with the towers. Have yourself a cold, quiet and peaceful Christmas Eve. Yes, nakatulog na yung tatlo (Manny, Nicole & Maqs), sobrang pagod sa lakwatsa.
Anu ka ba naman Maqs? Santa yan. Ayaw mo Mommy na lang....

Busog ba? And that ends our short Christmas getaway for 2007. Next year, plan is to have it in the Philippines because of the long school break. Till then..... God Bless Us All!
