September 1, 2007 - This is the day we moved to our final house (for this year 2007). Our rental contract starts this day and will last a year. The design and size is good for the four of us - not too big and not too small - just the perfect size. The house has 4 bedrooms and 3 toilet & bath - we converted one room downstairs to become nicole & maqs' playroom. The house was built last 1999 and so far we're the first ones to rent.

This is where we live now in Tasek, Perak, MY. The house is cozy enough though it's not new. I think here in MY they call it terrace house which means that the houses are built side by side with the house sharing the side walls to its adjacent houses. In Phils, we call it raw houses. From the roof's color, I can guess that this area receives a considerable amount of rain. I guess, I am right, it usually rains here in the afternoon. The house front door faces this street and the backdoor opens up to another street. This is interesting coz back in Phils, raw houses are built with no backdoors opening up to another street, you'll end up with either a firewall or a fence or the backdoor of your neighbor.

During early mornings especially on weekends, I try to take my kids for a quick walk around the house and the neighborhood. Here they are closing the gate and wearing their pajamas, so they will not have scratches or wounds in case they tripped off.

This is to the left of our house, relatively near a mountain (or hill may be); cool morning breeze awaits those who managed to get up and out of their beds.

At this time, Nicole now has her own room which she temporarily shares with brother Maqs. We need not force her to sleep in her room, even though back in Cavite we all sleep together in one bed. She likes having her things, clothes and stuffs well arranged on the cabinet. Her room gives her the sense of ownership and responsibility to keep it clean or at least orderly.

This is our front porch. Mama and the kids spend their bonding times here often during mid-mornings. The one thing I do not like on the design of this house is that the front area is where you hang your clothes to dry. An open space at the back for hanging clothes would be good.

On the other hand, one of the things I like in this house is having its own wet kitchen area (dirty kitchen baga). This is where all the cooking and the laundry and the cleaning tools are. Here is my dear Mama who helps out preparing the ingredients for the dishes I cook. Thanks a lot mom!
